Some of the advanced technology in aesthetic medicine; the IPL machines and RF machines.

By Marion S. Simpson

Looking and making better in your appearance is not just about putting on good clothing, apply a bit of foundation and dipping you face into barrels of whitening cream. Yes without a doubt surgery has also played a hand in making people look good, but technology is breaking through and giving its own contribution. Best of all they do not require invasion of the body and there is barely any discomfort felt. Two of this technological advancement is the IPL machine and RF machine.

A skincare machine can be found in many beauty clinics all over the world and uses advanced technology to achieve superior levels of perfection. Take for example the IPL machine. IPL means intense pulsed light and this means that high density light is being emitted by a machine at short bursts. This kind of technology is now being used mainly for hair removal. Unlike laser hair removal, the IPL machine is a cheaper and faster alternative and the results are roughly identical to the former.

The IPL machine has also found its way into skin treatment especially photorejuvenation. Photorejuvenation uses the power of light to remove lines and wrinkles, care for certain skin inflammatory diseases like acne and even remove ugly looking birthmarks. The light emitted is powerful to remove hair and lines but gentle enough to touch only the skin and leaving the hair germ cell undamaged. It also doesn't cause any or just minimal damage to non-target skin areas and is less discomforting.

The RF machine uses another kind of technology. Radio frequency waves are an old concept especially since it has been used for radio transmission. It is also being used in your cellphones and for 75 years used in medicine especially in diagnostics tools like the magnetic resonance imaging. Early versions of the RF machine for aesthetic medicine were very rough to say the least. It causes tremendous amounts of discomfort and even pain when melting cellulite layers and not to mention expensive.

Now however, with many advances in aesthetic medicine and technology, the fat burning effects of an RF machine is now painless and it can now do a boatload of other procedures too. It has been used to remove wrinkles, close pores, soft peeling, decrease the appearance of stretch marks, extract blackheads with relatively no pain and even manage acne problems. Indeed it has gone to leaps and bounds to get it where it is.

These skincare machines are relatively new in the field of aesthetics but they have proven their worth in making many people look beautiful instantly with minimum effort and with near perfect results. They may not be the golden standards in the science of beauty but they can surely make a big difference.
